kmess-1.5 invisible text in nicklist

Forum rules
Do not post bugs if you compile KMess from the Git 'master' (kmess-unstable)! Only report bugs about the '2.0.x' (kmess-stable) versions!

Please, never post nor link to your KMess debugging logs into a topic: they usually contain very sensitive information, such as your account's email and password, the email addresses of all of your contacts, and the personal details they added to their MSN profiles.
Instead, you should attach it to either an email sent at bugs@kmess.org, or to a Private Message to Valerio, Sjors, fontknocker, Sjors or vdboor!
However, posting a crash backtrace is usually safe, as it doesn't contain any sensitive information but, at most, your user account name.

kmess-1.5 invisible text in nicklist

Using a dark-coloured KDE theme (e.g. Dark-blue), the text in the nickname list of KMess appears almost invisible:

Mmm. The contact list in KMess 1.5 should override the colors to always display black text on white background.. but it obviously isn't working! You will find a fix for this in version 1.5.1, and it's already there if you download from SVN (only on trunk ATM)! Thank you very much for reporting!
What's strange is, that I do use a dark theme myself, but the 'Standard Text' color is dark enough for this issue to go unnoticed. You can alter that KDE color - then restart KMess - as a workaround until 1.5.1 is released :)

Ps. KMess 2 will honor your theme's colors.

I thought about another workaround for this, that was just changing the background of the contact list (altering the image itself :P) and what was my surprise when i saw this :P

Just quite weird :P

Selecting any item would make it look ok, but just when selected, after selecting another one, the first goes ... weird again :P

Thanks for your work, love this msn client :D

auhauhah.. you've discovered our dirty, dirty hack to enable usage of transparent HTML on the contact list
It will fortunately be removed with kmess2... but for now we're all stuck to black-on-white, I'm sorry :P

I'm a genius, i discovered the trick .... ... ... :P

Still no prob, if you get a workaround for the problem with the white text with white back, there's no problem :P Hope you get it into 1.5.1 as i used the 1.5pre2 a while ago and i remember the problem was solved there :P

Keep up the good work guys ;)
