Hi, thanks a lot of posting. We've put some information online to get started:
http://kmess.sourceforge.net/development/ If something is not clear, just ask. It helps to improve the documentation.
But I have found that KMess use MSNP9 to connect to the server, and the
http://www.hypothetic.org's doc is mainly describe the MSNP8. Can anyone give me some MSNP9 docs and help me to join the developement of KMess?
KMess-CVS has just been upgraded to MSNP12 at the moment. Most of the protocol is documented at
http://msnpiki.msnfanatic.com nowadays. For now, I can recommend to study the sources, get an idea what the Qt/KDE API do, etc... It doesn't matter if you use some time for this, as it's a good base to start with. If you have any questions, you can e-mail me at "vdboor" --at-- "codingdomain.com", or preferably, subscribe to the kmess-devel mailinglist and post your questions there
FYI, currently we're ironing out the last bugs and unfinished new features of CVS. With a few weeks (or months) it should be ready to release 1.5. I think some of the small need-to-be-fixed things are a good point to start with, but we could discuss about that later..
