Great News for gaming under GNU/Linux:

0 A.D. is now under the GPL. I can't wait for the game to get finished

If you don't mind paying for closed source software, I can recommend you "World of Goo". It's really a little gem. It's an indie game and has no DRM so it won't f*ck up your system ;)
I also like Warzone 2100, which is an opensourced commercial RTS game.
You can also look on http://happypenguin.org for games (both open and closed source).

Just googled for "Open Source games", and found some interesting collections:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_open_source_games

http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Open_Sour ... s/Shooter/

http://apcmag.com/top_5_best_free_open_source_games.htm

There is likely something for you in those pages :)
